Teachers' Training

This Program in Early Childhood Education is available in full time, part time, and hybrid formats. The program is designed for aspiring and practicing teachers, caregivers, nannies, classroom assistants, and individuals seeking professional training in early childhood education.

Course areas include Child Development, Child Psychology, Learning Through Play, Curriculum Models and Educational Philosophies, Observation and Documentation, Learning Environments, Health, Nutrition and Safety, Age Appropriate Lesson Planning, Language and Literacy Development, Creative Arts, Behavior Guidance, Emotional Regulation, Family Engagement, Classroom Management, and Professional Practice.

Students explore leading early childhood approaches including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Emergent Curriculum, Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory, Vygotsky's Scaffolding Approach, and Pat Mackdowny's IMLS Framework, while developing practical skills through classroom based learning and hands on experience.

No minimum educational requirement is needed.

This part time hybrid Early Childhood Leadership Program is designed for educators, coordinators, supervisors, center heads, and school leaders seeking to strengthen their leadership practice in early years settings.

Inspired by contemporary leadership research and Early Childhood Leadership studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the program explores relationship based leadership, team development, coaching and mentoring, organizational culture, family engagement, emotional safety, reflective practice, change management, staff well being, and building high quality learning environments for children and adults.

Course areas include Leadership and Management in Early Childhood Settings, Child Centered Program Planning, Pedagogical Leadership, Staff Supervision and Professional Development, Effective Communication, Conflict Resolution, Family and Community Partnerships, Quality Improvement, Ethics and Professional Practice, and Leading Diverse Teams.

Participants learn how to support educators, strengthen program quality, foster positive workplace culture, and lead with empathy, accountability, and purpose.

Minimum admission requirement: Bachelor's degree and at least two years of leadership experience in education.

In collaboration with TEAM HOWTO, we offer community workshops, seminars, short courses, and discussion circles for families, educators, caregivers, and lifelong learners.

There is no instruction manual for parenting, relationships, raising children, navigating adolescence, balancing work and family life, or understanding the rapidly changing world around us. Most of us learn through trial and error, often without the knowledge, support, or guidance these important life experiences deserve.
