Since 2007, we have supported Karachi's working families as the city's first 12-Hours private daycare and learning center. At Dr. Sofia's Daycare and Learning Center, we care for children from 90 days to 12 years in a clean, safe, and warm space. Our care practices were shaped early on by our pediatrician and army trained nurses. Over time, our program has grown through Early Childhood Education training from Canada, learning from the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Certificate in Early Education Leadership, Reggio Emilia and Montessori ideas, Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory, and Vygotsky's scaffolding. Today, we continue to strengthen our preschool program with screen free learning, emotional regulation, independence, language, social skills, curiosity, and primary school readiness. For us, childcare is a real commitment to children, parents, and the trust families place in us every day.
Our story
We begin with utmost gratitude to the Almighty. This journey is very close to my heart. Back in 1990, after completing my M.B.B.S., I could not continue my post graduation. I had become a mother of two beautiful children, both under the age of two. At that time, I often wished there was a childcare place I could truly rely on. That feeling stayed with me. As a mother, grandmother, and doctor, I know how difficult it is to leave your child in someone else's care. It is never a small decision.

The Daycare Program is designed by a professional team of Doctors, Pediatricians, Army Trained Nurses and Certified Early Childhood Educators. We ensure safety, cleanliness and proper development of the children physically, emotionally and academically for ages 90 days to 12 years from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, we offer preschool program in the morning and after-school learning support and recreational classes to our children

The Learning Program is designed by a group of certified Early Childhood Educators and qualified Montessori Educators. Our curriculum is a blend of Montessori Teachings, Emergent Programming and also focusing on the Multiple Intelligences Theory of Learning by Howard Gardner.

The After-School program is divided into two programs. After-School Learning Support for Kindergarten - Grade 6, in this we provide guidance to children with their home-works, school tests, subject improvement & entry tests. And the After-School Recreational Classes for Ages 4 to 13 years, in this we offer a number of recreational classes like arts & craft, reading club, computer skills, physical education, Islamic education, basic life skills, field trips etc.

We provide a variety of Certification Courses & Workshops for educators and care-givers who are in the field of Early Childhood Education. These courses and workshops vary from Basic Curriculum Teachings, Classroom Language, Education Management, Public Dealing, Classroom Management, Child Behaviour and Psychology and Basic First Aid (CPR) Courses. These courses are conducted by professional in-house trainers and highly qualified guest trainers who have designed the courses themselves.
