Dr. Sofia's Daycare and Learning Center was featured on the front page of You Magazine by The News International on July 31, 2012, in an article titled "Babies' Day Out" written by Fatima Zakir.
The feature highlighted a trip to Karachi Zoo organized for children in early years and focused on the importance of experiential learning in nature in early childhood education.
The article reflected many of the values that still shape Dr. Sofia's Daycare and Learning Center today. It showed how children learn naturally through curiosity, observation, movement, conversation, and real-world experiences.
During the trip, the children actively engaged with teachers by asking questions about animals, birds, and nature, demonstrating how meaningful exploration supports learning and confidence.
Even years later, the feature continues to reflect SDLC's belief that learning grows beyond classrooms through relationships, nature, discovery, and lived experience.
